Gary Strickland began learning the construction business while working for his father Reid Strickland during his high school and college years. Gary began drawing house plans for his father while studying at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. After earning his degree in architecture, Gary joined his father’s firm in 1965. One year later the company moved into general contracting. After over 40 years of general contracting, Gary established Gary Strickland Co. providing consulting services in order to share the benefit of his years of experience and expertise in all aspects of construction with other contractors, subcontractors, architects and project owners. Gary and his staff are committed to continuing the Strickland tradition of excellence which began in 1948.
