Having completed
over 30 church projects, the Reid & Gary Strickland
Co. is a
consistent choice of congregations throughout the
area.
Many church congregations determine their General
Contractor through a selection process rather than a
bid process. Through personal interviews, your
building committee and staff can determine the
contractor's
- past performance
- financial & bonding capabilities
- management resources & experience
- record of finishing projects on time (or
early)
- quality of workmanship
- industry reputation
- and years in business
Using this information the committee can
determine their General Contractor with confidence
and trust in the firm selected.
When all facts are considered, RGS is the consistent choice of church
memberships.
Many clients, because of a bond of trust with the
Strickland team, have elected to use a contractual
agreement known as "Cost of the Work, Plus a Fee."
When establishing this type of a relationship, the
owner pays Strickland's actual cost plus a mutually
agreeable fee that is based upon the size, scope,
and location of the project. The project is
still bid and competitively priced.
The client is continually updated so that he can
make informed decisions about the direction of the
project and the most efficient use of his
construction dollars.
This close communication between client and
contractor also ensures a ready flexibility for
changes. Project costs are thus kept on track
so that the job is completed within budget, or, in
most cases, at a savings.
_______________________________ "Their work has
always been first class, within our budget
allowance, and completed on time. The
relationship between the Contractor and our Building
Committee has always been excellent, with a high
standard of Christian ethics. We would not
consider any other contractor for our next building
program." - Roy S. Wheeler, Senior Minister
(retired), Hillside Christian Church (formerly Paramount Terrace Christian Church)
- Amarillo, Texas "We found them very
helpful and cooperative to work with. Mr. Gary
Strickland is a Christian and has been an active
church member all of his life." - Stan Coffey,
Pastor, The Church at Quail Creek -
Amarillo, Texas "I have found Gary
Strickland and his staff to be people of absolute
honesty and integrity, something that was very
important to me, and absolutely vital to our
project. Gary and his people always went the
"second mile", pouring much more time, labor and
effort into our project than should have been
normally expected." - David Brown, Senior
Pastor, Victory Church - Amarillo, Texas
"Our experience with R&GS was a delight.
They were professional. They were prompt.
They and their subs worked hard. They
understood the workings of churches and accommodated
our schedules and needs extremely well. They
worked hard to get the most for our budget." -
Terry Cosby, Pastor, First Baptist Church
- Hereford, Texas "On behalf of the Trustee
Committee, the Building Committee, the Ceta Canyon
staff, and the people of the Northwest Texas
Conference of the United Methodist Church, let me
express our appreciation to the Reid & Gary
Strickland Construction Co. of Amarillo and all
of their staff who were involved in the $1.4 million
construction of the new Dining / Multi-Purpose
Center at Ceta Canyon Methodist Campground and
Retreat Center. From the time you received our
plans, through the signing of the contract, and the
construction and completion of the project, you
maintained the finest professional relationship with
us and it was a pleasure for us to work with you." -
